This magazine began in Orange County as a way of saving dogs in shelters and rescue organizations and with the help of sponsors and advertisers has helped us place pictures of these dogs that need homes in our publication and on-line.

The OC Dog is a newspaper dedicated to our four legged children. This publication has turned heads and many dogs have been saved through our adoption and rescue pages.

The OC Dog strives to provide a service to the canine community in raising awareness through enlightening articles in the hope of eventually having a No-Kill Nation. OC Dog is would like to thank our advertisers.... without them the OC Dog would not exist. I would also like to thank our sponsors for sponsoring an adoption page or rescue group. Also thanks to our event sponsors for making sure that this publication is available at their events as well as all the stores that carry our publication. And finally a warm thanks to our subscribers and competition entries... we are always delighted at the beautiful pictures sent to us for our competition... even though we can only choose one winner, they are all hot dogs in our gallery.

Our goal is to publish a paper that tugs on the heartstrings of dog lovers, and allow them to understand and become involved in the canine community eventually throughout the world. We pride ourselves on keeping the integrity of our articles within the guidelines of our message to the canine community. Our purpose being to enlighten the public on what is good and also not good for their four-legged children.

Dogs cannot speak for themselves, but we can speak for them.
